Congo's Forfait Mama Project

Congo has one of the world's highest maternal and newborn deaths. For every 10,000 births, 280 babies and 846 mothers die. This is because it is difficult for residents in underprivileged areas to find medical facilities easily, and the infrastructure of roads and transportation facilities is also insufficient.

Against this backdrop, Monchole Hospital is helping mothers in safety blind spots to give birth safely through a project called Forfait Mama. The association is supporting 10 million won a year by working with the Forfait Mama project at the hospital, and plans to gradually expand it.
