Announcement of the「1st Marianne and Margaret Youth Hope-Adding Contest」
In order to widely promote the spirit of service, human rights, and philanthropy of the two nurses Marianne and Margaret, who cared for Hansen's disease patients on Sorokdo with nothing but love and dedication for 43 years, and to foster the character development of youth and expand voluntary participation in community service, the「1st Marianne and Margaret Youth Hope-Adding Contest」is hereby announced as follows.
1. Contest Period: June 12 (Mon) ~ July 31 (Mon), 2023 2. Eligibility: High school students nationwide and youth of equivalent age 3. Content: Written review of a designated video (including personal volunteer experience) - Theme: "The Meaning and Value of the Two Nurses' Story" - Designated Video: Nurses Marianne and Margaret of Sorokdo (46 minutes) ※ Available to watch via QR code and link in the announcement 4. Number of Awards: 5 recipients 5. Total Prize Money: 10,000,000 KRW 6. Awarding Authority: Chairman of the Marianne and Margaret Promotion Project Committee
