Goheung County [Notice of N-Line Poetry Writing Event to Commemorate the Establishment of the Marianne and Margaret Volunteer Award]
1. Our county, in order to carry on the spirit of sharing and service of the two nurses Marianne and Margaret, who practiced a life of volunteering for over 43 years on Sorokdo for Hansen's disease patients through nursing care, operating an infant home, providing settlement support, and constructing a tuberculosis ward, launched the「National Committee for the Nobel Peace Prize Nomination of Marianne and Margaret」and nominated them as Nobel Peace Prize candidates in 2020 and 2021. On this occasion, the「Marianne and Margaret Volunteer Award」has been established, and the 1st「Marianne and Margaret Volunteer Award」ceremony will be held on September 2nd.
2. In order to promote the establishment of the「Marianne and Margaret Volunteer Award」and the Nobel Peace Prize nomination, we are holding an N-Line Poetry Contest using phrases related to Marianne and Margaret.
