Goheung County · Dongshin University · (Inc.) Marianne and Margaret, Promotion Project Agreement Ceremony. Provided by Goheung County On the 16th, Goheung County signed a three-party memorandum of agreement with Dongshin University and the Incorporated Association Marianne and Margaret at the Marianne and Margaret Sharing Training Center, for cooperation in the promotion project for the two nurses Marianne and Margaret and the revitalization of the Sharing Training Center.
The purpose of this agreement is to carry on and spread the noble spirit of sharing and service of the two nurses Marianne and Margaret, and to establish a cooperative framework for the joint development and operation of volunteer education and character development programs.
Under the agreement, the three parties agreed to share their vision and cooperate in the following areas: practicing the founding educational philosophy aimed at promoting sound community development; cooperating in the promotion project based on love for humanity; and nurturing talented individuals through the spread of positive influence.
The signing ceremony was attended by 22 people, including Goheung County Mayor Gong Yeong-min, Dongshin University President Lee Ju-hee, and Honorary Chairman Kim Yeon-jun of the Incorporated Association Marianne and Margaret.
As part of the Marianne and Margaret promotion project, Goheung County is pursuing a 'Global Leader Development Hub Project' with a total project cost of approximately 12 billion KRW, aimed at nurturing talented individuals across various sectors including youth and businesses. The county has also established the Marianne and Margaret Volunteer Award, selecting and honoring recipients annually to carry on the spirit of sharing and service of the two nurses.
County Mayor Gong Yeong-min stated: "Through this agreement, we expect the regularization of character education programs for students from Dongshin University's Department of Nursing and other programs to help the Sharing Training Center become a hub for volunteer and character education, and to play an important role in establishing Goheung County as a 'sacred site of volunteerism.'"
Dongshin University President Lee Ju-hee declared: "As character-centered education is the founding philosophy of Dongshin University, we will educate not only nursing students but as many students as possible in the spirit of dedicated service embodied by Marianne and Margaret."
Honorary Chairman Kim Yeon-jun pledged: "Goheung County has shown long-standing interest and devoted great effort to the Marianne and Margaret promotion project, and now that we have newly signed an agreement with Dongshin University, we will carry an even greater vision and work to widely share the spirit of service of the two nurses." |
