Voluntour is a compound word of 'Volunteer' and 'Tour', meaning a meaningful travel method that combines experiencing the local culture and life directly while engaging in activities that help the local community.

The first Jeonnam Island Voluntour will be conducted with 74 students from Suncheon First College and Chonnam National University from May 29 to 30, for a 1-night, 2-day schedule.

Participants will listen to a lecture on the volunteer activities of Marianne and Margaret from Father Kim Yeon-jun and watch a movie. They will visit the Sorokdo site, where they will have the opportunity to hear explanations about the National Hansen's Disease Museum and Sorokdo Central Park from a cultural commentator and reflect on the lives of the patients.
