[2026. 05. 30] 2026 Sorok-Sorok Memories VolunTour, Part 1 2026-05-31

The very first 2026 Sorok-Sorok Memories VolunTour was held at the Nanum Training Center over two days, from May 30 to 31.

This event, where volunteering and travel came together, was graced by a total of 38 participants who joined to make the occasion truly special.

On the first evening, participants arrived at the training center, settled in, and headed straight to Nokdong Port.

Watching the drone show light up the night sky, they set aside the fatigue of the day and shared the first night of the event with hearts full

of anticipation.

The next morning, after breakfast, participants watched a short film telling the story of Marianne and Margaret, who devoted their lives to

Sorok Island.

They then listened to a lecture by Director Kang In-jeong on Marianne and Margaret, taking time to reflect on the true meaning of sharing

and service.

The place where this time of learning turned into action was the coast of Sorok Island.

Participants lent their hands to the coastal cleanup until around noon, and as they looked out over a shoreline made cleaner by their

small but heartfelt efforts, they shared in the rewards that service brings.

After the volunteer work, participants returned to the training center for lunch and then gathered together to share their reflections on

the VolunTour.

Looking back on a short but rewarding day and a half and sharing what was in their hearts, the participants departed the training center

in the afternoon for their next destination, bringing this warm journey to a close.

We hope that this first step of the VolunTour will continue to carry forward the value of sharing alongside many people in the years to

come. Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who took part.
