Welcome Address
On this clear autumn day, in this beautiful season, I thank God and the parents who brought Uncle Kim Seong-gon Jonah into the world.
I always admired his pure, boyish heart and his warm, sincere demeanor, and whenever I thought of Sorokdo, I thought of him.
There were many times when I was lying at home sick, and he would casually bring delicious food and leave it for me.
So today, I wanted to celebrate his birthday with good people, and that's why I arranged this gathering.
I thank and love all the elders of Sorokdo who came to celebrate Mr. Kim Seong-gon's birthday today.
I hope this place becomes a venue where you visit often and create good memories together.
I have prepared a frame with flower shoes made of hanji for Uncle.
Having spent a lifetime wandering Sorokdo, I hope he now wears these flower shoes in his heart, visits the Austrian grandmothers, and returns to his hometown.
